8.8 Video Importer

IMPORTANT:

This plugin doens’t come with the automatic installation because you can only install it after importing the demo contents and they may not be useful for everyone.

To install this plugin go to Plugins->Install and look for Video Importer or download it here:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/video-importer/

With this plugin you can import your entire youtube channel or any other playlist into your website.

If you have any issue, please disable your ad block, and be sure that your server supports CURL requests (contact your hosting if you are not sure).

Easily define all the video sources you like to post on your WordPress blog and let Video Importer take care of the rest. In addition to importing past videos when you create a new source, Video Importer will check your sources for any new videos once per hour.

Adding a new source isn’t just easy, it’s also flexible enough to meet your needs. Choose between YouTube or Vimeo, choosing the type of feed, and then entering the username or ID. You can also set the post type, add categories and tags, choose the author and more for each source you’re importing.

Works with:

YouTube

  • User Uploads
  • Playlists (limited support)

Vimeo

  • User Uploads
  • Groups
  • Channels

A note from Themes2Go:

Despite some users are saying that the plugin stopped importing in january 2017, we tested it widely and it works like a charm, in fact we imported about 1000 videos from many different channels, users and playlists without any problem. Be sure you have no firewall blocking YouTube API, be sure to have AdBlocks OFF, and give to your API key a proper time to work (may require up to a couple of hours to be active for real since the creation).
