Color doesn't change

Hello,
I have followed the instructions on the site about updating and installing all the plugins. I need to change the color scheme to a light one, but none of the changes to the background take effect.
I am using the Colors Customization panel.

The image I uploaded shows that I am changing a the background color to a light color (close to white) yet the page still shows black.
Fonts and accent colors do take when I change their values. But not the background.
How do I change that?

Hello,
the background color doesn’t affect the header. You can choose to edit via Visual Composer, hide it or set a featured image.

I want to change the color of the main page not the header.
The page body is always black and I want to change it.

as I can see from your website the background is not black but #e0dee7.

The only black section I see is the header one.
