The video is not playing in the header, and displaying in the body. I enabled the ‘hide video’ options in Theme Options and on the individual post. If you click play in the header, it starts the video in the body. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Hello tlow87,
Currently, I can’t reach your website so I can’t check the issue.
By the way, try this: go on Appearance -> Customize -> Video Settings and make sure that the first two options are set to ON.Furthermore, check if your post format (inside each post) is set on VIDEO
Hope this can help you.
All the best,Andrea
I also still haven’t found a solution. Re-installed, and tried Parent & Child theme.
Hello tlow87,
in order to help you with the problem I need you:- a screenshot of your customizer page on video settings tab
- a screenshot of your backend of the post that doesn’t work
- link of your website (the one you provided doesn’t work)
Thanks,
AndreaIt seems that the issue stems from the embedded video being from archive.org. My site will require archive.org video support. I hope we can work on something together to make this happen. Thank you!
Hello tlow87,
as stated on Themeforest before you bought Vlogger’s Theme, we can’t deal with archive.org videos embedding or with sites in general that don’t permit hotlinking or XSS protection. It’s not a theme issue so we can’t get through of it.Have you tried asking information to archive.org about embedding its videos on other websites?
Kind regards,
AndreaI have reached out, and they said their videos should be embeddable by any standard method.
We have such a large library of videos, that I wanted to reach out and ask if y’all offered any implementation services?
Hello and thanks for your update.
It is possible that WordPress itself can provide a standard embedding in the content of the post, but to display the video in the headers we need to process all the embedding functionality through custom theme functions.
For this reason adding a new service is not a simple task, and as for now we had this request only from you, I’m sorry to say that we can’t offer this a theme feature. If you hire any developer from Codeable or Envato studio to process your request we can get in touch with him to provide valuable information relative to the functions location in the theme structure and how to proceed for a correct implementation, but such function can for sure have some development cost.
Best regards
Igor
