Hello,
I want to use ‘blog’ page (copy of it), but can’t find how to modify Blog Grid settings to use my filtering tags. WPBakery does not provide any access to it. I do not even see Blog Grid template when using front end or backend mode.
The idea is to filter and display only those records that I want.Thank you,
Stanislav
Hello Stanislav,
blog grid and blog list template have no filtering options. They simply display blog post in list or grid view.By the way, you can create a new page and add the Post Grid shortcode in Visual Composer. Here you can find multiple settings to filter your data.
If you also want to include the sidebar, make sure to choose the “Page Sidebar” template in the page attributes tab.See the image below as reference.
All the best,
AndreaGood. Have done this for experiment, but thought there is faster way.
Another question. Parameters ‘Quantity’ and ‘Items per row’. If I understood right (from my experiment), these parameters statically set number of items shown on the page. If items are more, there is no page numbers appear for flipping pages, right?
I see on your templates this feature and thought page numbers come automatically.Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Yes, you are right.
If you use shortcodes the number of posts displayed is related to “Quantity” and “Items per row” parameters and you will not have pagination. If I get right, the templates you see with pagination are simply pages with “Page Attributes” set to “Blog list” or “Blog Cards” and they come with pagination but there aren’t parameters available to filter data.
If I get it wrong, please send me some links of the templates you are talking about.
Thanks,
AndreaExactly, I mean those templates.
Now, it is important for my site to have pagination and to show only certain records (aka sorted by tags). How this can be done? Thanks again!
Hi Stanislav,
currently there is no tag filtering option for blog posts but if you want you can use tag or category URL.For example:
- http://themes2go.xyz/demos/vlogger/demo/category/nature/
Maybe this can work for you 🙂
Keep me posted on this.Andrea
Andrea,
Thank you for helping me. Only now I’m able to continue working on my project.
Let me start where we left off.
What templates are used in this examples? Thanks!
StanislavAndrea,
Actually, I used category as menu item, and it works fine for my purpose, with one exception: it looks like it’s not possible to set up image in the header of the page.
Or is it possible? This way would solve all my problems of the day 🙂Many thanks!
StanislavNo there is no such feature in this theme, they use the default picture from the customizer.
thanks
IgorOk.
What templates used for these examples that you referred earlier:http://themes2go.xyz/demos/vlogger/demo/tag/nature/
http://themes2go.xyz/demos/vlogger/demo/category/nature/Thanks!
StanislavHello Stanislav,
tag and category page have default templates. You can only change the category display setting from default to grid view for a specific category.Check this image as reference: https://imgur.com/a/9IIf2
Have a good day,
AndreaHello,
So far I can’t completely solve my problem. Let me better explain what I want to get.
I would like to display records of one series with pagination and individual image in the header.
I did, as was advised, page with Post Grid:
https://alfa-news.tv/interview/border/– It has individual custom picture in the header, but no pagination (at a moment there are 20 records to be displayed in several pages).
Here is example of Category being used as menu item:
https://alfa-news.tv/category/интервью/border/– It has pagination, but picture in the header is custom one for everything.
So, is it possible to combine these two features?
Thank you again!
StanislavHello Stanislav,
I totally understand your needs but you can’t combine the two features.
We could consider including the possibility to have a custom image for categories but it will take a while.I’ll keep you posted on this.
Have a good day,Andrea
Ok. That what I was afraid of. %-)
It would be ready-really nice to improve templates this way, because it’s natural feature, in my opinion.
Please inform me of a new version when it will be available.Stanislav
Thanks for your honest feedback Stanislav, we’ll take it into serious consideration.
All the best,
Andrea
