Hi,
I’m getting a daily email telling my plugins have failed to upload. It shows that WP bakery has a new version, but i get an error message every single time i try to update the plugin.
i get that you have it built in to the theme etc, but is there any way I can actually update to the latest version to prevent these daily error emails from wordpress?
also, i’d like to be able to add columns but, since vlogger doesn’t use blocks – but classic – I have no clue how to do this. it’s super easy to do so pages, but not posts. i have no clue how to write the code that might create it!
while not essential, it’s a bit frustrating – is there a way of adding a couple of columns (not just image on one side and text on the other, which is too basic for my needs)
many thanks
andy b
Hello Andy and thanks for reaching us.
I’m not sure what kind of error messages you see but I think they’re just warnings like the one below. As you mentioned, in our product we include a bundled version of WP Bakery Page Builder that does not need any updates in order to work.
If you see any message asking to provide a purchase code of the bundled plugins, you can simply discard the message.
If you want, it’s up to you to purchase a Personal License on https://wpbakery.com/, which will grant access to automatic plugin updates and premium support from the plugin author, but we can’t guarantee that the updated versions will work smoothly as the bundled one, because it may not be tested with the current theme version.
It’s our duty to include and test the latest WP Bakery Page Builder version in future releases of the theme.
Regarding the posts layout customizations, you need to consider that we’ve included custom functionalities such as the tutorial template sidebar that are hard coded and can’t be easily edited (you might need a developer for this).
If you need just an extra layer of flexibility on your posts, you could enable WP Bakery Page Builder for posts.
In order to do it, go to your backend and than WP Bakery, Role Manager and select “Custom” from the Post types dropdown. Here you can enable the feature for posts. Scroll down and Save it.
Now you can use it for building your posts as you normally do with pages.
You need to keep in mind that while building your posts, in order to get your video post work properly, you must enter a text block with your video url as first element of the page.Just let me know if this helps 🙂
Have a nice day,Andrea
