Hello,

I would like to create an index at the beginning of the post which are long. The purpose would be the people can go straight to the chapter they are interested without having to go through all.

Also, I guess I will need to know how to link it to from the index to the chapter

Hello,
tutorials template page already included chapter links. If you click on the links on the sidebar, the page automatically scrolls to the chapter.

If you need a table of index for default post page, you should go for a third-party plugin.

Thanks for the feedback.
I have installed TOC+ to create the table of contents.

It does work an all the standard posts, but for some reason on the ones set to video format, won’t show up. Any idea why?

It normally shows automatically as long as you have more than x headers you choose. I also tried to write [toc] at the top, but even with that won’t show up
