Hi, I’m experiencing two issues.
1. Map is not working. its showing This page can’t load Google Maps correctly. I suppose it is google’s recent API change. Please fix it.
link : https://somspeaks.com/events/2. The event link by default load old event at top. It is very odd. I want to change the order of the event list. the newest event should show at the top. I couldn’t find anything in configuration. In demo site also the list order is not proper. Please guide me to change the event listing order.

1) Did you set your API keys in the qt places settings?
Within the product folder there is the QT Places plugin manual in PDF format.
In Settings > QT Places you find a text input and a link to generate your GooGle Maps API key.Maps still works perfectly for all our other customers (actually we use this plugin also for all our other themes which are about 7000 installations so i think it is still working fine).
I saw the recent map settings, it is about using the api keys, so is probably the only issue.
Remember that API key need as well to be actived. On the google page you will find detailed instructions.2. You can hide past events in the settings of the customizer.
Eventually make 2 categories if you don’t want to hide old events, leave old events visible, and link from the menu to Upcoming Events and Past Events.Hi, thank you very much for quick response. regarding map I created google map JS API and entered the Key. But I’m still getting the same issue. I checked API but API key is fine with no restriction at all.
for event list. past event and upcoming event link is nice idea. I created separate link for upconing. but could not find how to configure it is customizer. can you share the steps I mean the navigation
Hello,
1. Check on Google API Dashboard if the key is activated.
2. Here’s how to do it:
– On customizer -> Appearance – Customize – Event Settings -> make sure you’ve selected the “show past events” setting.– Create new “Event categories” by going on Events -> Event Type. These will be your categories for upcoming and past events. All your events should find place inside one of these.
– In Appearance – Menus, click on the top right of the page on Screen Option and enable the Event Types checkbox. Now on your sidebar you will find a new item where you can pick the event categories you’ve created before.
Save the menu and you will be ready to go.
Regards,
AndreaThanks a lot for the steps you mentioned. Appreciate it. The event listing has been resolved.
But the map is still not working. I have checked Maps JavaScript API. It is enabled. The key is proper. No application or API restriction configured in the API.
