1 – You have to set the new page you’ve created as website front page. Just go to your backend -> Setting -> Reading and here select the new Front page. Now the logo should point to the new homepage.

2 – It’s always a good thing have the theme and all plugins updated. So yes, go for it automatically – your contents and settings will not be affected.

Hello Dave, about the theme update, very important: the child theme is always 1.0 unless you customize it. A child theme is a theme that inherits the functionality and styling of another theme, called the parent theme. Child themes are the recommended way of modifying an existing theme.

The update regards only the parent theme, and it doesn’t update without you knowing, instead, it provides a simple procedure that requires a single click.

Once you have the Envato Market plugin installed, you can fill in your code, and it will tell you if there is a new update. We will send you an email from themeforest when there is one, you can go in your Envato Market plugin page, and click “update”.

Once done, you will be asked eventually to update some plugins.
