I’ve just added my own featured image to the ‘featured list’ section at the bottom of the demo main homepage. But in order to be able to read the type, I need to add a dark overlay as with the image you used. Is there an easy way to do that?
Hello,
the easiest way to add a dark overlay over the image is using some graphics editor like Photoshop or Gimp. That’s the way we used to edit our images’ demo.Shouldn’t you have made it clear that I’d have to buy and learn expensive new software to use this theme? I assumed I’d just be able to add my own copy/images and be good to go. Instead, every small task seems to involve endless complications.
Now my choice is: buy Photoshop and learn it, or cut that section too. That section was important to me because I have a specific course I want to sell. I can’t use your background pic because it is male and my course is for women. But I can’t add a female image without making the text unreadable, or buying Photoshop so I can add a dark overlay.
Is there a way of getting just a plain black background instead, so the copy is at least readable?
Hello tipsynewt,
thanks for your feedback.
Our theme includes all the tool to let you build a professional Lifecoach website with ease: events, podcasts, team members, video etc. All in one product without installing any external plugins. All you have to do is to upload your images and contents. And this is up to you.
You don’t need to buy an expensive license of Photoshop, you can use free alternatives like GIMP or online tools like this https://www.photopea.com/Otherwise, if you don’t want to go with images editing you can reach it using WP Bakery Page Builder. I can support you on this, just send me here your website URL and explain to me where you want the black overlay.
Thanks
