I’m sorry to be stupid but I’ve downloaded theme and demo. I want to now start adding my own copy and pics to the demo, but I can’t seem to find how. I go to ‘Life coach WordPress theme – front page’, for instance, I press ‘edit’ and what I get is WPBakery page builder, but I can’t find your words, so I can replace them with my own. No copy shows at all. I’ve added in my own image as a featured image, but that doesn’t show up either. I’ve watched the you’ve video, which is no help, and read the manual but there seems no guidance on how to do this – surely the most simple thing?
Hello!
To edit a page using the Page Builder, please find here the complete manual with video and screenshots:
https://wpbakery.com/video-tutorials/basically when you go on top of each element you’ll see a green pencil, that will let you edit the contents.
A useful tip is to not start from the homepage, that is usually the VERY last thing to edit. First take care of all the other pages, and the home page will be tons of time easier, because its parts are essentially obrained by using most of the other contents you created before (posts, products, videos and so on).
I have gone to the green pencil – there is nothing showing. I thought I’d just delate your words and replace them with my own. That’s why I’m so confused. Nothing on it seems to be responding. Have also added in my own featured image, but that hasn’t worked. Tried changing more basic things, like contact form, but I’m just lost.

Looking forward to hear you,
AndreaI have watched the videos (which go so fast, I can’t follow them). I have read the manual. I have pressed on the green pencil. The box is empty. I can’t see where/how to start inserting my own copy.
Hello tipsynewt,
as said on the previous reply, could you please help me understanding better your issue by adding some screenshots to this topic? Thanks,
AndreaOK, so I have made so many mistakes, I want to start again. Can I reinstall the whole thing, or write over the child theme and start again?
You can install and use the plugin WP Reset and reactivate the theme and plugins.
Be sure to udpate the theme to latest version, otherwise the plugins won’t install correctly.Thank you. So I did all this, including updating theme. Then tried to install the main demo, and got this:
ERROR 504 – GATEWAY TIMEOUT
Why am I seeing this page?
The server that your request has reached is acting as a gateway or proxy to fulfil the request made by your client.
Web Browser => Web Front-End => Web Back-End
This server (Web Front-End) received an invalid response from an upstream (Web Back-End) server it accessed to fulfil the request.
In most cases this will not mean that the upstream server is down, but rather that the upstream server and the gateway/proxy do not agree on the protocol for exchanging data.
This problem is most commonly caused when there is a problem with IP communications between the Web Front and Back-Ends. Before you attempt to resolve this problem you should clear your browser cache completely.
Our support staff will be happy to assist you in resolving this issue. Please contact our Live Support or reply to any Tickets you may have received from our technicians for further assistance.
Hi Andrea. I did a total reset as you suggested, but all the mistakes are still there. I really need a clean version of the demo installed, so I can start again. At the moment I have mistakes all over. How do I do this?
Hello,
you can make a full reset of your installation via a plugin called WP Reset.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-reset/Then you can install theme e demo contents as written in the previous replies.
Andrea
How do I replace the demo images with my own? I’ve finally found the little arrow that accesses the words so I can add my own words.
Now how do I find pictures?
Hello!
In order to change post type images (blog posts, events, podcast, team members, etc.) you should add the image as featured image when editing a single post.Regarding the others image, for example those on the homepage, you should edit Visual Composer rows. In this video is well explained how to do it.
