I’m having a nightmare trying to integrate JWPlayer videos into this theme. They just seem to give a strange error with two play buttons appearing and never play. Any recommendations?
Hello disruptivelive,
thanks for writing in. Andrea here from Themes2go Customer Support.
Due to the deep integration on our theme of another video player called Plyr, I suppose you will experience lots of issues when you try to include JWPlayer.Could you please provide me some screenshots of the issue or just your website URL?
Keep me postes on this,

Hi Andrea,
We have both JWPlayer and Vimeo. Neither work. Let me explain:
1) Vimeo – our vimeo links aren’t public e.g. https://vimeo.com/279819444/0df98eb2ac
So embedding this on the site will just return no video and the text for the last part of the link e.g. /0df98eb2ac
I’ve tried on a 3rd party player (ARVE) which works, but the header video just does nothing. I tried the same with an iFrame.
2) JWPlayer just doesn’t work at all. I’ve had limited success if I include it on as an iframe – but nothing else. It seems to load – then within a second it delivers two play buttons which never play.
I’ve got the site in maintenance mode and screenshots seem restricted on this forum. If I could just solve the vimeo bit for now – it would help greatly.
Thanks, Andrew
Okay – here’s a JWPlayer example: https://www.disruptive.live/interviews/clarity-and-assimil8-post-keynote-interview-big-data-analytics-london-2018/
I browsed through the PLYR code looking for vimeo. It occured to me it may just be a question of adding an extra */ or something – couldn’t find it though.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Andrew
Hello Andrew,
trying to add not public videos from Vimeo will not work. Did you try switching to public one of your videos and then embed it on a post? Does it work? This theme is meant to work only with Plyr so, as stated in the previous reply, you’ll find lots of issues.
Just a question: is there any particular reason you want to use JWPlayer instead of Plyr?
And then, why do you need adding extra */ or something in Plyr code?
For this, I’ll talk with developers and see if we can help you.All the best,
Andrea
