I want my logo to look just like the Life Coach logo, except mine is three words, not two. I want the first word to be in italics, the middle word to be bold, the final word to be lighter. I know I need to use a medium caption style, but I can’t work out how to format the text inside of that. And then do I need to take a screen shot of it to insert it into the header, or is there an easier way?
And also: I want to make an icon, again like the [LC] one you have created, with just the initial caps of my site within the brackets. Again, not sure how to make this square – can’t work out how to change the size of the brackets/letters.
Thanks.
Hello tipsynewt,
Our logo was created in Photoshop, exported in PNG format and then uploaded to WordPress through the Customizer.
Same way for the icon.Regards,
AndreaI don’t have Photoshop. Is there any way to change the type within the brackets, so I can make one word italics, the other bold?
I am sorry but you would edit your logo with some graphics editor (like Photoshop, Gimp, etc..)
OK. So on all headlines, captions etc in this theme, there is no way of making type italics or bold? I use italics a lot.
Hello,
we can add a custom CSS to get the result. Do you want to turn all the captions in italics or bold? No, I just want to be able to change the odd word to italics or bold, not all of them. Thanks!
Hello,
I don’t totally get it. Which words are you talking about? Could you please send me a screenshot? Thanks!
Andrea, sorry to be dumb but I don’t know how to upload the screenshot.
Hello tipsynewt,
you can’t edit those titles because they are part of the theme core styles.
Eventually, you can change styles for all the words together, not single ones.Andrea
That is so disappointing. But thanks for letting me know.
You’re welcome, sorry for the negative response, but such code complexity may result in an overcomplexity of usage, heavier code, negative Google indexing impact, more CSS, and more complex product maintainance, so unfortunately we can’t take this road and stay instead on a more standard type of typography.
Regards
Igor
