Hello,
Im having an issue on my main homepage https://lihomepro.com/Its strange, when you select “GET IN CONTACT” or “FAQ” from the main menu, there seems to be a glitch and instead its selecting “MISC” from a “CATEGORY”.
Possibly do I have too many sub menus under “CATEGORY”?
thank you- This topic was modified 5 years, 7 months ago by Michael.
Hi, we had a look at your site and the issue comes from third party plugin you installed. The one we bet the most is Wp Fastest Cache: this plugin is really not professional (there are many other much better) and it seems it completely messed up the source code.
You should delete the cache, and disable the plugin, the issue should disappear. Then go for a better one like w3 total cache.
But remember that many of those plugins, when it comes to minification, can corrupt the code, so I’d suggest leaving js and css minification DISABLED.Instead, use a good hosting and a good CDN like cloudflare (which is free).
Hello, thanks for the response. I tried like you said, deleted the cache and deactivated the plugin but the issue still exists.
Hello Michael,
could you please send me a screenshot of your menu structure from your backend?
How many items do you have on the child menu level?Have you tried add another link to your navigation as parent level? Does it glitch?
your question, “Have you tried add another link to your navigation as parent level? Does it glitch?”
Yes I did. I just added “VIDEO SERIES” to the menu and it does not glitch. However, if I move this new link closest to the “CATEGORIES’ link, it does glitch. It seems like whichever one is closest to “CATEGORIES”, it will glitch.

Update:
it seems that I have figured it out. I deleted 1 sub links from “CATEGORIES” and the problem went away. When I added it back again, the glitch returned. Is there a set limit for subs? I need 16 but it seems like 15 is the limit without experiencing the issue.Hello Michael and thanks for your precious feedback.
After your debugging we can actually exclude some plugins fault (90% WordPress issues comes from third-party plugins). So I can assume that your menu is too high and all that sub-menu items can’t find place on the windows causing the glitch. This is the first time a thing like this happens.
For this reason I suggest you decrease your menu items or add a third level sub menu.
Please keep me posted on this.
Thanks in advance.Andrea
