Hello, I have inserted my youtube video posts to work with the slideshow videos on the top of my homepage. My issue is,
On your template, one click of a video post opens a video player on same page.
On my site, one click of the video post takes you to the post page where you can manually play the video.I need my site to work as your template whereas my clients can one click the post and video automatically starts playing.
Thank youHello!
In Appearance > Customize > Video – please enable automatic video header and automatic video format. You can also now activate the autoplay if you like 😉If you have any other issues please let me know
thanks!
AndreaOh wow, auto play as an option too. Awesome!!
Thanks for the quick response, MikeHmm, I followed your instructions and I think possibly either Im doing something wrong or theres an issue with my hosting. When I click a video at the home header, it looks like the video wants to open but the play button just flashes a bit. Strange.
Anyway, I just set my site live tonight so I thought it was best to reach out since it can now be seen.
I’ve enabled, “auto video post detect” and “add video header for post video formats”
Thank youlihomepro.com
Hello there!
I’ve just checked your website and the issue is quite unusual because the id of the video is missing.
In order to fix your issue you could try these steps:– deactivate all plugins that were not included with our theme
– try to create a new video post instead using existing ones (we have a video tutorial for this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojzZXzAXDQs)
– Shorten YouTube video URL could have some issues when loaded onto the page. Use the long URL, e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojzZXzAXDQsBe sure to clear your browser cache and empty the plugin cache if you are using a cache plugin.
Keep me posted on this.

Hello, By default, the permalink setting was set to Custom Structure. I changed it as per your youtube video to Post name. However no changes though. I tried as you suggested and created a new test post too. I did look over all suggestions but still cant seem to pin point the issue. I tried reaching out to the installer of the theme however they advised me to inquire with you.
Thank youI think I figured it out. When I watched your video, I noticed that you pasted the youtube url directly into the body (which works).
I was clicking “add media” and “insert from url” which inserts the video however, It will not play, and that seemed to be my issue. I hope you are aware of this.
Thank you, MikeHello Mike,
and thanks for your feedback.
The standard procedure of embedding a video on a video post in just copy and paste the video URL. Then WordPress auto embeds the video switching from the URL to the player in a snap. And this works for lots of other video platforms.By the way, I assume you solved the issue, am I right?
If you have any other questions I would happy to support you.Have a good day,
AndreaGlad to hear it!
