[Support Extended] Some general questions

1) How can I place the Searchbar on the a Contentpage
2) How can I use a Filter and filter by taxonomies (eventtypes)?
3) On every eventpage at the bottom is an event suggestion. The Date is not the Event date but the Creationdate which confuses the visitors
4) Its also important to set up Start and End Date from the Events since some events are several days

Sorry for the late reply, we have been publishing some updates yesterday so didn’t answer on time to your request.

1) Can you please post a screenshot with some inidcations about the exact location you need the search bar? It can be done with a string of code, but I don’t understand perfectly the location you require. Thanks!

2) EVENTTYPE is the category for events. you can use it in 3 ways:

• Add an event slideshow and filter upcoming events by type https://d.pr/free/i/oZIP2W
• In the Menu, under screen settings, you can enable the eventType. Then you can add eventTypes to the menu, linking to specific event categories. https://d.pr/free/i/aGS1b9
• You can make a map filterable by Event Types

3) ” The Date is not the Event date but the Creationdate” I am not sure if I understand, but in the related events section the date is the Event Happening date, and not the publish date: https://imgur.com/a/uFK3Qzb So i see it correct.

What you mention sounds like a possible bug, but can’t find where it can be happening. Can you please send a screenshot?

4) There is no such functionality now in this theme, but we just added it to another theme with the plan to bring it in LifeCoach. This functionality will also come with the option to add a Google Calendar function, which is pretty useful.
This will be implemented over the next month for sure, will let you know here when is available.

1 and 2)

You can sort the eventtype in 4 categories:
– eventcategorie
– date
– location
– speaker

I want to give the visitor the possibility to filter between these 4 terms to find the desired event.

Right now there is the halfway-solution with the map which could work but here I just see ALL eventtypes which are not seperated in these 4 categorie terms. Therefore I need the searchbar in the middle of the startpage (https://ibb.co/y0y69GG) with a realtime taxonomy search for these 4 categories. (A on TOP Map would be stunning but not nessesary.

I know this feature is not possible right now, but a customization would be also possible here.

Fact is, that I need a general solution to make it easy for the customer to find an event in his hometown or in a specific timeperiod, or from his favourite speaker or in his desired categorie where he want to develop his skills or personality.

3) As you cann see here: https://ibb.co/7r6J6Yd, the related events have the publish date and not the happening date, which is confusing for the visitor.

1) The fastest and cheapest solution is a custom taxonomy.
You can add any taxonomy you need with these plugins. Maybe you’ll have to try more than one in case you have problems, because they may work in different ways and not all of them may be compatible with the theme

1) Im using the Search & Filter Plugin now. You cann see it here http://www.seminar-finder.online.

Here I can filter between the different eventtype taxonomys. The problem is that the function “hide old events” is not working anymore (see here: https://seminar-finder.online/eventtype/hermann-scherer/)

4) Oh your right this is coming from another Plugin

“hide old events” is a parameter that we use in our theme for our custom queries.
What we are talking here is how to add custom taxonomies and how to use the custom field in third party custom plugins.
We are way way far from support territory, I’m sorry but this is really not my competence anymore.

I can only provide suggestions, and the suggestion is to contact the author of your search plugin and ask how to implement a custom query parameter in the search, based on a podt-meta.
