Videopress Embeds Not Working

Hi,

I have to say that vlogger is a phenomenal theme for video, but there is an issue with VideoPress. If I embed a video using their shortcode [videopress Ce9XzZYf] it does not appear (in the header video player section – it will appear in the content and have its only player) – so I attempt to use the direct URL – https://videos.files.wordpress.com/Ce9XzZYf/german-shepherd-herding-dogland-australia_1_hd.mp4 and that does not appear either.

So a ‘working’ method I have found is to use different embed code (which the wordpress editor) is to use reformat the link to https://videopress.com/v/Ce9XzZYf – this shows the video in the head section and is playable, but it uses its own video player and the Plyr that comes with the theme does not work.

Is there a way to include VideoPress code so that the player accepts it and the look and feel of the site is maintained.

Any help would be fantastic.

Here a quick workaround to make your VideoPress videos working with Plyr.

In your post, when embedding a video, add these structure:

[video width="1280" height="720" mp4="VIDEOURL"][/video]

I’ve given it a try with the URL you send me and it works nicely.

Here’ the code I used:

[video width="1280" height="720" mp4="https://videos.files.wordpress.com/Ce9XzZYf/german-shepherd-herding-dogland-australia_1_hd.mp4"][/video]
