Hi,
I’ve tried to update to the latest WordPress 5.7 twice and both times it messes up my website. The homepage shows but I can’t go to any of the other pages. So, I have to restore the latest website file from the day previous just to get my site back to normal. Are you having issues with the latest WordPress update?
Hello!
We’ve tested our theme with the latest WordPress 5.7 and all is working fine.
I’m sure that your issues come from third-party plugins that are no longer compatible with WordPress 5.7 and create conflicts with your website.Could please try disabling all the third-party plugins, update your WordPress installation and check if the problem persists?
If so, could you please be so kind to show me what’s going on with the help of some screenshots or video?
Thanks in advance,
AndreaHow do I determine which plugin is a third party and which one is not? I don’t want to disable anything by mistake.

Hi, I removed MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress in my plugin list a long time ago because I don’t use mailchimp for my email provider. Do I still need this plugin active on my site for this theme to work properly?
Hi,
I literally deleted all of the plugins on my site except for the list that you provided above and the updated WordPress 5.7 still didn’t work on my site. It will show the homepage but when I go to any other link or categories a black screen comes up. It breaks my site. Please advise.Hello,
if you don’t use Mailchimp anymore you can delete MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress.
Regarding the black screen, it usually comes when plugins are not updated.
Could you please check this before updating your WordPress installation? Thanks,
AndreaI did update all of the plugins. I also deleted every plugin except the ones that come with your theme and I made sure those too were updated and I still got the black screen.
Hello!
We already tested WP Bakery Page Builder with WordPress 5.7 and it runs nicely.
If you want to update it, this morning we’ve released a theme update including the latest version.Regarding the black screen I ask you to please download and install this plugin: http://qantumthemes.xyz/public_plugins/common-plugins/qt-servercheck.zip
After the upload, please remember to activate it, in order to add the new function under the Settings menu.
Then go to Settings > QT Server Check
You will see a result screen like the one below:
Just take a screenshot of the results and send it back to me so we’ll check if is a server issue.
Please remember to check with your hosting provider that this theme requires at least PHP 7 to run optimally.
Keep me posted on this,
AndreaHere are the screenshots I retrieved from following your steps above. I contacted my hosting site and they said that our hosting is PHP 7 and above.

Hello and thanks for your feedback.
I would share it with our tech department and I’ll get back to you.
Just a question: do you have a staging environment (not the live website) where we can eventually work and test the update? Thanks,
Andrea- This reply was modified 3 years, 8 months ago by themes2go.
Hi Andrea,
I’m not familiar with web development. So, I’m not sure if I have a staging environment. How could I find that out?
Hi, Andrea
Any word back from your tech department? My site isn’t safe if I don’t upgrade to the latest WordPress update. So, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Hello!
I’m sorry for the delay but our office were closed due to Easter holidays.
I’ve just talked with my colleague and we think the better choice for this case is to take care of your website by our tech team.
We are going for a deep analysis and check what’s going on with your WordPress installation.Surely, free of charge.
Just send us a message to team@themes2go.xyz including your website admin url, username and password.
After that, we will perform some tests and eventually the WordPress 5.7 update.
Waiting for your response.
Andrea
Ok, thank you. Do you know how long it takes for them to update? We are doing a new launch on Tuesday for our brand and we’re changing the designs of the homepage and so forth. So, are we still able to work on it while you guys are updating it?
Do I just create a login on my backend special for you guys?
Also what role do I give you guys on my site? Is it administrator?
Hello, we are ready to go with our support on your website.
I ask you to do a full backup and confirm us we can proceed.Best,
AndreaHi Andrea,
We just backed it up. You can proceed. Please let us know once you’re working on it and once we can start back working on our site. We have a launch tomorrow and we need to update pictures, pages, and our homepage.
Thank you
Hello!
we’ve just update your website to WordPress 5.7.
From our side, all is ok. Just check if everything is ok and consider that you have a large amount of third party plugins installed so we can’t guarantee the WordPress 5.7 compatibility for them.Good luck with your relaunch 🙂
Have a good day!
AndreaHi Andrea,
You guys deleted my Malcare security protection on my site. Why is that?
I’m reinstalling it now on my site. That’s so my site won’t get hacked and it’s security.
Hello, as stated on the message I’ve sent you via mail, I assisted personally the update process and I’m sure we did not delete anything.
We just deactivated all the unbundled plugins, updated WordPress to 5.7 and then enable back all the plugins that where active before the update.Nothing more.
So if I’m right, you’ve reinstalled the security plugin and all it’s fine. Am I right?
Best,
AndreaYes, I reinstalled and it’s all set. Maybe it disconnected with the work that you guys did by mistake. But, it’s all good.
Is there anything that could have been avoided with this WordPress glitch with your theme? Will this happen during the next WordPress update?
Hello!
The update process went flawless so I would think that will not happen during the next WordPress update.
What I can suggest is to decrease the plugins installed on your website because they could generate some conflicts and get your website slower. Our theme will be always compatible with future WordPress update, but as stated in my previous message, we can’t guarantee the same compatibility for third party plugins.
Best,
AndreaHi Andrea,
That makes total sense. However, I was going off of that because you said that when I first inquired. But then, I deleted every single third party plugin on my site, every last one except yours and the problem still persisted.
That’s when I knew it was your theme and you had me run the report.
I did notice that you guys did another update for your theme the day that you had me run the report. So, I wonder if your update fixed the issue.
Hi Andrea,
My apologies if I’m asking a lot of questions. But, I’m preparing for our relaunch and I want to make sure I know how to properly use this theme.
Do I need to keep plugins that are apart of this theme activated if I’m not using them? Such as QT Love IT and QT Places?
