My client’s last developer purchased Life Coach with Bakery bundled in, and never passed the purchase/Envato account credentials along, so when WordPress updated and outdated our current version of WP Bakery we were pretty much SOL.

I exchanged multiple emails back and forth with Envato Support in an effort to obtain access to the account but ultimately had to buy a new license.

Now I have updated the Life Coach theme, but after following the manual’s directions to update WP Bakery (like someone else was directed to do on this forum only 3 weeks ago), I found there is no WP Bakery file in the theme folder. Instead there is text that says this:

LIFE COACH PLUGINS:

All the plugins are now loaded directly from WordPress repository or from themes2go.xyz repository.
Your server requires (as standard WP requirement) CURL library installed.
It is also required that your server connection is allower to our server themes2go.xyz.

In very rare cases, the server firewall may be blocking the connection to our server.
You may notice an error (Forbidden) when trying to install the plugins.
If this happens, you need just to contact your hosting provider and request to enable the CURL POST requests to themes2go.xyz.

Please note that this is a standard procedure and normally you won’t encounter any problem of this kind.

If your provider is not able to solve the issue please get in touch with the support.

I am not a WordPress expert and would appreciate any insight anyone is able to offer in this regard. I have downloaded wp-cli and WordPress locally on my computer and was able to successfully connect to my clients server via SSH. I thought I would find the WP Bakery file there since this message says plugins are now loaded “directly from WordPress repository,” but I guess that must be talking about something else.

Sorry if that came off harsh. It’s been a long few days.

If anyone can point me to where I can locate the WP Bakery updated file, it would be much appreciated.

Honestly I had to read twice your message because I couldn’t get the point.
Then I realized that it should only be something related with WP Bakery Page Builder.

WP Bakery Page Builder is bundled with the theme. This means that whenever a new version of the plugin is released, we must test it and check if it’s fully compatible with the theme. Only at that point, we include the updated version of WP Bakery Page builder on a new theme release available for download on Themeforest.

This is stated on our manual at this page:

Said this, the current version of WP Bakery Page Builder still works nicely with the theme so, on my perpesctive, there is no rush to update it. 🙂

In the end, we are going to update the theme soon including the latest version of the plugin. You will receive a notification when ready so you could proceed with the updating process.

Just to make sure you are using the latest version of the theme and plugins, the latest WP Bakery Page Builder plugin we’ve included in the theme is 6.2.0.
You can check your version on the plugin list page on your WordPress backend.
