Hello gwa, thanks for checking out these variables.

As nobody else among our customers had a similar issue before, the problem is for sure not related with our theme or plugins, that is for sure.

We have at this point 2 options:

1) We can log in to your wordpress and try to understand what is happening
2)In alternative we can give you the XML of the demo contents
that you can import with the wordpress importer, but you won’t have the widgets and customizer settings from the demo.

I made this topic private so you can post a temporary user, password and admin url for your site (to be removed after this procedure), we will log in and try to see what is wrong.

So first of all, make sure to switch the Page Template to Page Fullwidth under the Page Attributes Tab on the right sidebar.

Then try this procedure:
– click on “Classic Mode” on the top left blue button
– paste this snippet before all the code you will see

– Now click on the top left blue button “Backend Mode”

I’ve just tried to replicate your structure on my local installation and no issue was found. I think it’s related with your installation/settings.

From the page source code I see there is Gutenberg editor active. Did you build the page with it or with WP Bakery Page Builder?

Could you send me a photo of your page while editing in backend?

Hello and thanks for your feedback.
At this point your problem is very simple: the server resources of your hosting plan are very limited (are you maybe on a cheap hosting plan?) and they are not enough to import the demo contents.

Please make sure your hosting meets the server requirements, and, if needed, use the provided solutions to increase theme.

If you are not sure about the described procedure, please get in touch with your hosting company and link them this same instructions page.

The issue is, in conclusion, just a matter of execution limitation, so you will fix it easily with these info.

2) Navigation: about this, you cannot do this within the theme options, and code changes are not part of the Themeforest support service, so I can’t help you with that, sorry!

Thanks Justin, the space seems caused by something else, now that I see your screenshots.

The problem is that without seeing the live page, is really impossible to provide a solution. is this site online or you are in a local environment?

If online, please post a link of this page, otherwise, you need to right clic on the white space between the rows, and select inspect element.

Then please post us a screen of the HTML and CSS you see in the debugger

thanks for writing in.
First, demo contents import is a straight forward procedure so any issue could be caused by third-party stuff that is not included with the theme.

In second place, demo import is a cross-browser procedure so I don’t think is a Safari issue.

I suggest you have a look to our video tutorial on installing the theme and importing demo contents and see if your procedure went the same way shown in the video.

If this does not help you, it could the default WordPress importer tool.
You should deactivate it by going to Plugins and check if WordPress importer plugin is deactivated.

If not click on deactivate and then run the demo content import procedure again and check if the issue is solved.

if you can send some screenshots as reference it could be great.
By the way, to edit spacing between rows you should edit a single row clicking on the pencil icon, then go to Design Options and add 0px to top and bottom margin.

Hello Daniel,
in order to change the background image follow these steps:
– edit your page
– go to the row containing the background image
– click on the pencil icon and switch to Design Option Tab

Here you can set your background image. I suggest you set it to Cover.

Hello there!
In order to change your website template, you have to edit your page and then choose your favourite page template. Once selected, click Update.

For your needs, you should choose Visual Composer or Full Width Boxed template.

At this point is seems clear is something related with your hosting.
Your server doesn’t have enough allocated resources to handle common operations. Please be sure about your actual parameters by contacting your provider or installing a plugin called PHPinfo, that will let you know the max execution time, and the max memory allowed for your site.

You need max execution time at least 120 seconds and memory limit at least 128M but 256 is actually better.

Please find here more info about how to modify those parameters yourself here:

First, I’m not sure I totally get it so I would suggest you to send your website URL o at least some screenshots of the issue.

I think it could be something related to the page template you are using on the broken pages or some issues related with permalinks settings.

So first make sure that the pages you are editing matches your preferences about page template. Check this out: http://www.themes2go.xyz/manuals/lifecoach/knowledge-base/2-8-archive-pages/

The homepage for example is built with “Visual Composer Template”.

So try to switch the page template according to your needs.

You can also try to change the page permalink, maybe it could interfere with other pages you’ve created before.

If this doesn’t work, you can also try to go to your permalink settings(Settings -> Permalinks) and just save without editing any field.

😮 Look at the frontend, if it looks as the demo (images of course shoould be replaced by a placeholder) then it’s fine.

From your message anyway it’s clear that the procedure runs, but it gets interrupted because of low server capabilities or limitations.

Did you ask your provider as suggested in the previous message?
Can you please post a screenshot of your phpinfo result?

It seems indeed your site is not using the child theme.
When using it, as you can see from the screenshot from our test version, you should load vlogger-child/stye.css in the header

So please be very sure youactived the child theme, and in case try to reinstall it via ftp.

Very good then is a good choice.
Anyway, the child theme should load its style.css correctly, as visible from the line 14 of the functions.php of tehe child theme’s folder.

As troubleshooting procedure, I’d like to remember that if you have any sort of caching or cdn enabled, your changes may not be visible.

If you are sure you have no cache, we would like to see the URL of your site to udnerstand what may be happening.

usually we suggest editing the code (for the main theme as well the child theme) through the Customizer. You can find it in Appearance -> Customize -> Additional CSS.
We always suggest to our customers using it for small code editing.

Said so, I’m going to investigate with our developers and I will get back to you as soon as possible with an appropriate answer.
