Hello!
We always recommend to use the child theme because it make easier to update your site with new theme versions without losing any customizations or settings.I’ve just found an article regarding it: https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/wordpress-child-theme-pros-cons/
Regarding the QT Love code: I can suggest you an easy way to make it work again.
1. Make sure you are using the child theme
2. Go your ftp manager to this path: wp-content/themes/lifecoach
3. Copy these 3 files: single.php, single-qtvideo.php and single-podcast.php
4 Now go to this path: wp-content/themes/lifecoach-child
5. Paste the 3 files previously copied.
6. If necessary overwrite the old filesNow you should have the sharebar and love icon back to your pages.

Peeterin reply to: QT Love and other QT PluginsHello,
after checking your website source code I got what the issue comes from:
the code that adds the sharebar (including the love icon) to posts, podcast and videos was missing.Considering that you are using a child theme I assume that some intentionally deleted those code lines.
What I did, was just adding back the code and now you have the sharebar back to your posts, videos and podcast.
Hope this helps,

I’ve just checked your website source code and qt love plugins is properly installed.But as I can see there are different third-party plugins still active that could interfere with QT Love plugin:
– ninjateam-youtube-for-visual-composer-plugin/
– convertkit
– thrive-visual-editorSaid this I would be happy to check your website and see what’s going on.
Just send us a message including your credentials at team@themes2go.xyz and I will take care of your website.Keep me posted on this.
Peeterin reply to: QT Love and other QT PluginsHello!
It can’t be the WordPress update because we tested it with our theme on our local and online clean installation and everything is fine.If you want I can check it for you. Just send us your credentials to team@themes2go.xyz and I’m going to see what’s going on.

in reply to: Backend EditorHello,
1) check if the plugin is turned on
2) deactivate all the third party plugins
3) if present, delete cacheOnce done, check if the QT Love plugin is working now.

Currently there is no such feature included with the theme for sponsor to get rid of the link. You could proceed with a “#” in the url section.I’m not sure what you mean with “Is there a way for me to shrink the banner that it sits on top of when I put it on the homepage?”
Please advice,
thanks.Peeter

As stated in our private mail message, this is not a chat.
Adding multiple replies to the same thread would not speed up the response time.Regarding your issue, in the first screenshot you’ve sent it seems clear that you have installed Thrive Architect that for sure is conflicting with WP Bakery Page Builder.
First, you need to deactivate it.
I’m not sure why all those tab og your page are messed up but it doesn’t come from our theme. In order to get the page builder back to the right places you should drag and drop the tab to the main space on your page.
You can also try checking the screen option you see in top right corner of your page: https://imgur.com/Mn4Ves0

The black screen you saw wasn’t triggered by the WordPress 5.7 update but from the Easybox library that needed a manual update.
Once updated the update process went flawless.Regarding QT Love and QT Places plugins, I’ve just answered here: https://www.themes2go.xyz/helpdesk/forums/topic/qt-love-and-other-qt-plugins/

Peeterin reply to: Youtube Gallery LayoutHello!
This is not part of the theme support because is a plugin issue.
You can consider change the maintenance plugin, asking for support to the plugin author or try if editing a different page from the homepage is possible.In this last case I suggest you cloning the homepage and add it temporarily to your menu. Once done, go to the customizer and click the cloned homepage link.
Hope this helps,
Peeterin reply to: Maintenance ModeHello!
QT Love adds a love icons and counter to blog posts, team members, sponsors, testimonials, events, podcasts and videos. You can use it on pages only with default template page template.
Once deactivated, the love icon would be hidden but all the social shares would be still there.
If you don’t need it, you can get rid of it.
“Places” is a custom post type created by the QT Places plugin, which comes in bundle with the theme.
Places are basically “venues” and they can be associated to the events to create event maps. You can optionally create simple “places” maps to dispay any tipe of geolocated content.
If you don’t need it, you can turn it off.
Best regards,
Peeterin reply to: QT Love and other QT PluginsHello!
There is no such feature included with the theme and for this I can only suggest to hide the “You may also like” section with a css snippet.Go to Appearance -> Additional CSS and add this:
.qt-related-section {display:none}
Click publish (or save) and now the related section would be hidden.
Hope this helps,
Andrea
in reply to: Theme questionHello,
1) the video gallery shown here (http://themes2go.xyz/demos/lifecoach/video-carousel/) is created by the included plugin QT Video Gallery.In order to get that grid of videos, add your videos in the Video post type, then create a new page with a Visual Composer page template and then add the QT Video Gallery shortcode to your page.
That’s it 🙂
2) Google Ad code is javascript. In the additional CSS field you can only add CSS code. Including javascript on WordPress is permitted only editing the source code or using third-party plugins like: https://wordpress.org/plugins/insert-headers-and-footers/
You can find a guide here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-add-google-adsense-to-your-wordpress-site
3) Currently there is no such feature included with the theme and I suggest you going for a plugin
Hope this helps you,
Andreain reply to: Youtube Gallery LayoutHello!
Our theme does not include a maintenance mode.You can search for a plugin on WordPress repository, for example this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-maintenance-mode/Just check what work the best for you.
Regarding the layout examples, here you can find our online demos:

In order to increase the testimonial slider height you should add this to your Additional Css in the customizer@media only screen and (max-width: 1200px) {
.qt-material-slider {height: 800px;}
}Change 800px with your preferred height
@media only screen and (max-width: 1200px) {
.qt-textcont p {font-size:10px}
}Change 10px with your preferred font size
Make sure to erase the cache before checking.

The update process went flawless so I would think that will not happen during the next WordPress update.
What I can suggest is to decrease the plugins installed on your website because they could generate some conflicts and get your website slower.Our theme will be always compatible with future WordPress update, but as stated in my previous message, we can’t guarantee the same compatibility for third party plugins.
Best,
Andreain reply to: WordPress 5.7 Update IssuesHello, as stated on the message I’ve sent you via mail, I assisted personally the update process and I’m sure we did not delete anything.
We just deactivated all the unbundled plugins, updated WordPress to 5.7 and then enable back all the plugins that where active before the update.Nothing more.
So if I’m right, you’ve reinstalled the security plugin and all it’s fine. Am I right?
Best,
Andreain reply to: WordPress 5.7 Update IssuesHello!
we’ve just update your website to WordPress 5.7.
From our side, all is ok. Just check if everything is ok and consider that you have a large amount of third party plugins installed so we can’t guarantee the WordPress 5.7 compatibility for them.Good luck with your relaunch 🙂
Have a good day!
Andreain reply to: WordPress 5.7 Update IssuesHello Rabea,
I’ve just talked with one of our developers which show me that the slideshow can’t be responsive. Now you have three option:1) adjust the text length of your slides to the same height
2) decrease font size only on mobile
3) increase the testimonial slideshow height only on mobile: it will fit good for longest item but you will get empty space for shortest ones.
Just let me know which option you would like the most and I will support for option n°2 and 3.
Best,
Andreain reply to: Testimonial Slideshow responsiveHello, we are ready to go with our support on your website.
I ask you to do a full backup and confirm us we can proceed.Best,
Andreain reply to: WordPress 5.7 Update IssuesHello Rabea,
our office was closed due to Easter holidays.
I’m not sure why but I’ve noticed the code has lost some brackets.
Try this instead:@media only screen and (max-width: 1200px) { .qt-herolist p {font-size: 40px !important;} }
As always, make sure your cache is empty (both WordPress and browser).
Waiting for your feedback,
Peter
in reply to: Hero List font-sizeHello there and thanks for your patience.
Just a quick update regarding this case.We’ve tried to contact Plyr developer without any success and for this we tried with all our efforts to help you out with the issue.
We’ve also noticed that this “bug” (mainly caused by YouTube new policy) affected also many other users without any fix by the developer.
https://github.com/sampotts/plyr/issues/1321
https://github.com/sampotts/plyr/issues/1222
https://github.com/sampotts/plyr/issues/976
Moreover, the main demo of Plyr is affected by the same issue we have with our theme.
Try by yourself to play and pause the video: as you can see the YouTube elements are not clickable.
Last but least, we tried multiple workaround to make those elements clickable but all we did wasn’t successful.
For all these reason I have to say that there is nothing to do with it, also updating Plyr would not fix the thing and adding or editing css classes would not be a fix for this issue.Hope this helps to clarify the case.
Best,
Andreain reply to: Remove YouTube-ElementsHello!
I’m sorry for the delay but our office were closed due to Easter holidays.
I’ve just talked with my colleague and we think the better choice for this case is to take care of your website by our tech team.
We are going for a deep analysis and check what’s going on with your WordPress installation.Surely, free of charge.
Just send us a message to team@themes2go.xyz including your website admin url, username and password.
After that, we will perform some tests and eventually the WordPress 5.7 update.
Waiting for your response.
Andrea
in reply to: WordPress 5.7 Update IssuesHello!
The screenshot I’ve sent you was meant to be sure you were referring to the text pointed by the arrow. It doesn’t represent the edit.
I’ve just checked your website source code and it seems no edits have been made. The font-size is still 0.8em.
It can’t be the child theme because the additional css added in the customizer will overwrite the child theme css.
I would suggest to add this code again:
@media only screen and (max-width: 1200px) .qt-herolist p { font-size: 40px !important; }
Save the edit and then clear the cache of your website and check on your mobile device in incognito mode.
At this point, assuming that the code is working fine, I think it’s only a cache problem both of your website and your browsers (desktop and mobile).
